Shape games for kids

Shapes are everywhere: balls, boxes, ice-cream cones. Learning to recognize them builds the early math and spatial skills that children use for years to come.

In our shape games, children explore real 3D shapes as they spin and float, and match them to a picture clue. New shapes are added as your child learns.

Shape Spin

Ages 3–7

A 3D game for learning solid shapes

What your child learns

  • Recognizing 3D shapes: cube, sphere, cone, cylinder and pyramid
  • Learning the names of shapes
  • Spatial awareness: seeing shapes from different angles
  • Matching by shape rather than by color

Tips for parents

  • Go on a shape hunt at home: which things are spheres? Which are cylinders?
  • Build with blocks and name each shape as you stack it.
  • Compare flat and solid shapes: a circle and a sphere, a square and a cube.

More to learn

  • Colors Pop balloons to find and name colors.
